Syringocystadenoma Papiliferum(Report of A Case)

Abstract
Syringocystadenoma papilliferunt is a rather rarely found skin disease. It is a lesion of dermatologic as well as pathologic interest particularly as to its histogenesis and the associated skin lesions including nevus sebaceus and basal cell epithelioma.
A considerable number of cases have been documented in the American and the European literature. In the Korean medical literature, as far as we have been able to study, only one case of this entity has been reported.
We have recently experienced a case of 50 year old male who, had a very slowly growing papillomatous, nodular, elevated tumor mass of 1X2cm. in the right upper quadrant of the abdominal skin surface, with the duration of 10 years. The mass was excised after a local anesthesia. The histopathological examination revealed rather typical findings of syringocystadenoma papilliferum.
A brief review of the literature on this disease entity was made.
